Rona Macdonald
Professional Support Lawyer
I have over 20 years of experience of a broad range of property matters, including all rural and residential matters with a strong background in commercial property law and complex conveyancing. I provide support and advice to solicitors within the Land & Property department to ensure the continued delivery of legal expertise. My role includes researching complex queries, designing and delivering in-depth technical training, and keeping solicitors and clients informed on legal and market developments within the land and property field. I have a particular interest in land registration and have developed a close working relationship with Registers of Scotland through my membership of the Land Register Stakeholder Completion Group, which was established by Registers of Scotland to allow key stakeholders to input on issues which affect land registration.
I like to cut through complex issues to get to the crux of the matter, finding solutions and setting out clear, constructive advice for clients and colleagues alike. I also enjoy working collaboratively with my colleagues and providing support in a clear, professional and approachable way.
