Area of practice

Rona is a Senior Associate in the land and property department and head of the Land Registration Unit, which deals with voluntary registration applications for a wide variety of individuals, charities, partnerships, trusts and estates.

Rona is a member of the Land Register Stakeholder Completion Group which was established by Registers of Scotland to allow key stakeholders to input on issues that affect voluntary registration. She has developed a close working relationship with Registers of Scotland through this membership and the large number of voluntary registration applications which are being dealt with by Turcan Connell’s Land Registration Unit.

In addition to her specialist knowledge of land registration, Rona has experience of a broad range of property matters, including all rural and residential property matters and with a strong background in commercial property law. She spent a year on secondment at the National Trust for Scotland as in-house Solicitor, where she dealt with a variety of practice areas as the charity's full time Solicitor and main point of contact for legal matters.

Rona qualified as a solicitor in 2001, having completed her LLB (Hons) degree at the University of Aberdeen and Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh.
