Charitable Incorporated Organisations in the United Kingdom: lessons learnt so far and what comes next?

Lee Bolton Monier-Williams ("LBMW"), in association with Charities Management magazine and Edinburgh-based specialists Turcan Connell, are pleased to offer charity trustees and professionals a seminar exploring the impact of Charitable Incorporated Organisations ("CIOs") in England, Wales and Scotland since their recent introduction, and taking into account the advantages and disadvantages for new and existing charitable bodies considering adopting this new legal form.

Topics will include:

  • CIOs in Scotland - a retrospective since their introduction in April 2011 and what comes next?
  • CIOs in England and Wales – one year on: lessons learnt so far; advantages and pitfalls?
  • CIOs in the United Kingdom – looking to the future; are CIOs worth the hype?
