The latest official statistics published by the government have confirmed that as at the end of October, 1,173 UK households had committed to installing energy efficiency improvements under the government's flagship"Green Deal" (see our Briefing Note for a summary of the Green Deal). 219 households have also now actually had improvements installed under the scheme, which launched in January this year, and 101,851 Green Deal assessments have been carried out on properties. 8,500 homes in Scotland have had an assessment.
These statistics show the growing interest in the Green Deal, under which, as at 16th June 2013, no homes in the UK had yet completed any energy efficiency improvements under the scheme.
