I am an accredited specialist in private client tax and in trust law. I advise clients on tax and estate planning and adult incapacity matters with a particular focus on business and family wealth succession, management and mitigation of the implications of loss of capacity and the formation and administration of trusts. I have particular experience and expertise in the use of trusts for injured, disabled, and vulnerable people.
One of the most rewarding things about my work is forming long-lasting relationships with clients and their families. It matters. I like to really get to know each client to understand their family profile, their asset and wealth profiles, their objectives and what keeps them up at night – and to help them find solutions that work for them.
It is not enough to simply understand our specialised area of the law or to communicate advice clearly, my challenge is to help our clients to take ownership of their individual strategy and really put it into practice.
Our work is always interesting, especially when we have to navigate tricky legal terrain and work across specialisms with our professional colleagues and intermediaries, but it is really rewarding when we get the results that give our clients the comfort and security they need.
