Marisa is a Solicitor in the Land and Property Department and advises clients on a broad range of property matters, including the sale and purchase of rural properties, farms and forestry, servitude rights and real burdens, leasing, renewable energy developments and all aspects of general estate conveyancing. Marisa also has experience providing advice on contentious and non-contentious agricultural law matters principally in connection with agricultural holdings legislation, including preparation of leases and agreements.
Marisa studied Law and Spanish at the University of Glasgow, graduating with an LLB (Hons) in 2013. As part of her degree, Marisa spent a year studying Spanish Law at the University of Alcalá de Henares, Madrid in Spain and speaks fluent Spanish. Marisa obtained the Diploma in Legal Practice in 2014 and joined Turcan Connell as a trainee later that year, qualifying as a solicitor in October 2016.
