Scott acts in the areas of succession planning, asset protection and trusts. He advises clients on a broad range of issues including tax and estate planning for individuals, trusts and landowners. He has a particular interest in advising private and charitable heritage property trusts and the issues affecting historic houses in Scotland.
Scott studied Law at The University of Edinburgh and graduated in 2005. He completed his Diploma in Legal Practice at Edinburgh in 2006. He joined Turcan Connell as a Trainee Solicitor in October 2006 and qualified as a Solicitor in October 2008. Scott was promoted to Associate in 2015. Scott is a Notary Public and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Scott is a tutor on the Revenue Law Course at the University of Edinburgh and a Supervising Solicitor at the University of Edinburgh's Free Legal Advice Centre.
