Elizabeth routinely advises clients on all aspects of employment law; both contentious and non-contentious. Her areas of expertise include employee relations including disciplinary/performance issues; redundancy and restructuring; discrimination issues; dismissals; maternity and paternity rights; and contractual documentation. Elizabeth has a robust attitude towards litigation and has achieved strike out of claims and costs awards in favour of her clients. She is an experienced advocate in the Employment Tribunal and has represented clients both north and south of the border. Elizabeth also advises on alternative dispute resolution and she is an effective negotiator in settlement discussions.
Elizabeth studied at Edinburgh University and joined Turcan Connell as a trainee in 2003. She qualified in 2005 and became a Senior Solicitor in 2008. Elizabeth is dual qualified in English and Scots Law. She offers discreet, pragmatic advice and is able to immediately identify her clients' objectives and initiate the necessary action to achieve them.
