David is an Associate who is dual-qualified in both Scots and English law and is also a Chartered Tax Adviser. He provides advice on a broad range of issues including capital taxation and estate planning for individuals and family businesses, asset protection, trust and succession law, along with the administration of trusts and executry estates.
David studied law at the University of Edinburgh, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2008 and has specialised in private client work since then. He joined Turcan Connell as an Associate in 2016.
David is a Notary Public and a member of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), completing the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (Scotland) with distinction and being recognised as STEP’s Student of the Year in Wills, Trusts and Executries in 2013. David also holds the Certificate in Financial Planning from the Chartered Institute of Insurers and is a speaker at conferences on matters such as Inheritance Tax and estate planning.
