I am currently the Firm’s Chairman, while continuing to actively advise clients, specialising in Inheritance Tax and other tax advice as well as establishing trusts and other structures as part of succession planning. I also act as family counsel and give governance advice to a wide range of clients including entrepreneurs and family business owners, landed estate owners and farmers and professionals.

In our business, we are often more than just the client’s solicitor. I am regularly trusted with issues that go well beyond any specific legal or tax questions and frequently find myself helping clients with big, important decisions often at difficult or critical points in their lives. In order to fully understand the overall situation, it is essential to listen carefully and ask the right (sometimes challenging) questions so as to form a complete picture, before delivering the best advice in a way each client can really understand. It is a privilege and hugely rewarding to be put in these positions of trust.
