TC 2023 Charity Hockey Tournament has raised up to £10,000 to fight Scotland’s growing homelessness problem
We are delighted to announce that our annual charity hockey tournament & BBQ has raised around £10,000 for our 2023-25 charity partner Rock Trust.

Why Rock Trust?
With homelessness in Scotland at a record high, Rock Trust, a leading
Scottish charity with the aim of ending youth homelessness in Scotland,
was a clear choice as our 2023-2025 charity partner. Louise Johnston,
partner at Turcan Connell, commented:
"We are delighted to announce our new 2023-2025 Charity Partnership with Rock Trust. Over the next two years we will be working closely with the charity to raise as much money as possible and, in turn, make a difference in young people’s lives; ensuring they have access to youth-specific services to assist them to move on from homelessness. We have many exciting fundraising activities lined up this year and we look forward to partnering with the team at Rock Trust."
Last year Rock Trust helped over 900 young people in Scotland to avoid or move on from homelessness through raising vital funds. This is done through engaging with individuals, families and businesses in a variety of different fundraising activities from charity gigs, swap shops, bake sales and so much more. Darren Pike, head of income generation at Rock Trust shared his remarks on Turcan Connell’s charity partnership:
"Rock Trust is incredibly grateful, and really excited, to have been selected as Turcan Connell’s newest charity partner. Though we've only just started, their staff have already demonstrated great enthusiasm for working together and for raising money as well as awareness for our vital work to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring."
Fighting homelessness with hockey
Our charity hockey tournament was Turcan Connell’s first event with Rock Trust, which proved to be a highly entertaining evening, with a tasty BBQ, competitive hockey matches and true sportsmanship on display which saw Adam & Company Wealth Management coming out on top, to take home the 2023 charity hockey tournament trophy. Following the tournament, we announced the winners of our silent auction and raffle which included a range of prizes from hotel stays to afternoon tea, and wine tasting.
A big congratulations to our trainees for their hard work in organising this event, all the businesses who kindly donated prizes, the firms listed below who participated in the hockey tournament, and finally to everyone who got involved on the day making sure the event ran smoothly. We could not have asked for a better way to kick start our partnership with Rock Trust than by bringing the community together with the common cause of helping prevent youth homelessness.
