Turcan Connell was delighted to be shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Private Client Awards.

These prestigious awards highlight excellence among private client solicitors, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers and advisors. The firm was been shortlisted for both Family Business Advisory Practice of the Year and Private Client Legal Team of the Year (midsize firm).

Simon Mackintosh, Chairman, attended the awards ceremony on Wednesday 6th September 2017 with colleagues Alexander Garden, Partner and Head of Tax and Succession and Mike Kane, Partner and Head of Family Businesses.

In the Private Client Legal Team category, Turcan Connell faced a number of well-known firms, including: Collas Crill; Michelmores; and Simpson Solicitors, and winning firm, Boodle Hatfield.

Up against Turcan Connell in the Family Business Advisory Practice award was competition drawn from the Big 4 accountancy practices and international family business advisors, with PricewaterhouseCoopers announced as the winning practice.
