On the weekend of  Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd April 2016, a team of volunteers from Turcan Connell took part in an RSPB Working Weekend.

They spent the weekend at RSPB’s Glenborrodale Reserve on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula working with the Site Manager, Simon Mclaughlin, and various RSPB land agents to remove rhododendrons so as to help preserve native plant and tree specimens.

The weekend was a rewarding experience for all involved as we managed to clear rhododendrons from 110,350 sq ft of the reserve. It is hoped that this work will help maintain the renowned biodiversity at Glenborrodale for future generations to enjoy.
