Jenny Jarman-Williams

I am an expert family lawyer with an extensive track record of providing confidential support and specialist legal advice to a range of clients. I was accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in family law, I am a former family law lecturer at the University of Edinburgh and a Family Law Arbitration Group Scotland (FLAGS) accredited family law arbitrator. Legal excellence is important, but I believe that the best family lawyers offer more than that. They are discreet, available, respond quickly and truly listen to what their client wants. They provide pragmatic advice when navigating difficult decisions and, crucially, are willing to robustly advocate for their client when needed.

Prior to settling in Scotland I spent significant periods of time living, working and studying abroad in Canada, Japan and Europe and so I understand some of the complexities faced by international families. My training as a corporate lawyer and management accountant has also proved to be extremely valuable in a family law context, where a proper grasp of business and numbers are key to securing the best outcome.

My clients come from all walks of life and include professionals, business owners, land and estate owners, expatriates, and those in the public eye as well as their partners and spouses. I am best known for my asset protection expertise (including pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements), financial claims on separation and divorce and on cross-border and international cases, including those relating to children.
