Elaine Proudfoot

I have spent more than fifteen years practising family law and I am accredited as a specialist in this area. My caseload has a strong focus on financial provision upon divorce. My work frequently involves complex issues regarding pensions, business valuations, intricate investment portfolios and employee incentive schemes. Though most cases are resolved outside of court, I have experience of raising proceedings at the Sheriff Court and in the Court of Session. I am a trained Collaborative Lawyer and I am a member of both Consensus Scotland and the Family Law Association in Scotland.

I think clients appreciate my practical and understanding approach to what are often very emotional situations. By carefully considering all the dynamics of the situation, we are then able to focus the issues at an early stage and find the most constructive way forward.
