I act for landed estates and farming clients, including overseas and high-net-worth owners, commercial farms, and businesses with renewable energy, carbon and natural capital interests. My work includes rural property acquisitions and disposals, agricultural leases, sporting rights, ownership structures (including partnerships), and estate and farm business matters. I am a Law Society of Scotland accredited specialist in Agricultural Law, a regular speaker and published commentator on agricultural law, and actively involved in key industry bodies and professional groups.

Drawing on first-hand experience of running a family farm business, I understand the commercial, practical and personal considerations that shape rural decision-making.
