Family Law Dispute Resolution

We see it as one of our principal roles to advise our clients upon the best method for reaching a resolution of the issues in dispute.  Our experience in all of the major methods of dispute resolution and family situations allow us to guide our clients to find the most appropriate forum for resolving their particular differences. The main methods of dispute resolution are negotiation, collaboration, mediation, arbitration and litigation.

Negotiation led by solicitors aims to help clients to agree solutions separately or in parallel to a Court process. In collaborative law, lawyers and clients work together to create a fair and legally binding solution without the threat of court proceedings present. Through mediation, a mediator will act as a neutral third party to assist separating couples to create and develop their own solutions for child-related, relationship and financial issues. Arbitration is a process through which the dispute is submitted, with agreement of the parties, to an arbitrator who makes a binding decision on the parties. Finally, legal representation in the Court process involves solicitors advising you about court applications, their cost, and representing you in the proceedings. Our solicitors can provide advice as to the most appropriate method of dispute resolution.
