Turcan Connell Asset Management combines the expertise and experience of our investment management and financial planning teams.

The two teams work closely together to deliver a comprehensive investment management and strategic financial planning service that forms a fundamental part of Turcan Connell’s overall range of services for private clients, trusts, pension funds and charities.

Managing over £650m, the Asset Management team has grown rapidly to comprise over 40 people including investment managers, financial planners and support team. The team’s backgrounds cover institutional fund management, financial planning, pension consultancy, investment trusts and experience within a wide range of stockbroking and private client firms.

The formulation of our investment strategy is led by our Chief Investment Officer, Haig Bathgate, aided by our Investment Advisory Board which comprises a number of senior investment industry experts; Lesley Knox (The Alliance Trust), Jan Luthman (Walker Crips),  Karim Abdel-Motaal (GLG Partners), Bart Turtelboom (GLG Partners) and Michael Thomas (Asian Market Specialist, previously Martin Currie).

We are committed to integrating and tailoring the expertise that we have across Turcan Connell to suit the requirements of each client. With volatile financial markets and seemingly endless change in legislation governing tax and pensions, a broad and experienced perspective is required in order to make the most appropriate investment and long-term financial planning decisions. While our investment managers and financial planners can and do provide separate services, clients are increasingly choosing our integrated asset management approach in order to avoid having to co-ordinate multiple advisers.
