Russell currently advises on a diverse range of rural property matters including sales and purchases of estates, farms, country houses, cottages, forestry, crofts, salmon fishings, game and sporting rights as well as the sale of steadings and land to developers for housing, commercial premises, schools and hospitals. 

In addition he deals with security work, timeshare fishings, residential and commercial leases including shops and post offices and provides regular advice to Estate Factors

Russell has over 20 years experience in advising major landowners, companies and trusts throughout Scotland. and joined Turcan Connell in 1997 when the firm was established.  He became an Associate in 2008.
 
Russell enjoys spending time with his family, travelling abroad, music and gardening.
