Trust & Tax and Charities

Chris advises on trusts, tax planning, asset protection for individuals and families and charity law. His work in charity law includes the formation of charitable trusts and companies, charity governance, reorganisation and dissolution. He also advises on succession planning, including wills and powers of attorney, and executry administration.

Chris studied at the University of Aberdeen from where he graduated with a Master of Arts in Psychology before reading law and completing the Diploma in Legal Practice. He joined Turcan Connell as a trainee in 2003 and qualified as a solicitor in 2005. He holds an Investment Management qualification from the UK Society of Investment Professionals  and is a student member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Chris is married with a young daughter, is a keen sportsman and holds the Queen’s Commission
