Alison Paul

Alison specialises in tax and estate planning, particularly for entrepreneurs and company directors. Her expertise covers capital taxation, succession, trust law, charity law and asset protection.
After graduating from Edinburgh University, Alison trained with W & J Burness, and on qualifying moved into private client law. She moved with the practice to Turcan Connell in 1997, and became a partner in April 1999. She runs the firm's in-house Trust and Taxation Seminar Programme.
Alison tutored taxation at Edinburgh University for five years. Alison is Editor of Tolley’s Charity Manual (Scottish Chapter) and sits on the Law Society of Scotland’s Examination Board. She is also Chairman of STEP Scotland (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
