Adam Gillingham
Partner, Land & Property

Adam handles all aspects of property law and practice, including agricultural law, commercial development of estate properties, option agreements, quarrying, forestry, conservation issues, sporting estates, fisheries and country house hotels. He has a particular interest in environmental law and its impact on rural property. Adam also acts for a number of private individuals including landowners, their families and trusts. He is a Law Society of Scotland accredited specialist in Agricultural Law. He is a member of the Law Society of Scotland Environmental Law Committee and the Scottish Committee of the UK Environmental Law Association.
He attended Glenalmond College and thereafter Aberdeen University before joining Brodies WS as a trainee in 1983. Two years after qualifying as a solicitor, he joined W & J Burness and became a partner there in 1989. He joined Turcan Connell, as a partner, in 1997.
Out of the office, Adam enjoys sailing, skiing, cycling and gardening. He is Chairman of Wardie Parish Church Congregational Board. He is married with three children.
