Robert Turcan

Robert specialises in property law and tax and estate planning and acts for a large number of individuals and families including the proprietors of substantial landed estates.
He also deals with all aspects of agricultural and estate work, including the purchase and sale of land and estates, agricultural tenancies, farming partnerships and contracting agreements and all types of development and land use.
Robert is a former convenor of the Law & Parliamentary Committee and member of the Taxation Committee of the Scottish Landowners Federation.
Chambers UK Guide says that Robert “always gives the impression he is on top of the subject and is thought highly capable by peers”.
He is accredited as a specialist in Agricultural Law by the Law Society of Scotland. Robert Turcan studied at Trinity College, Oxford and Edinburgh University, becoming a partner in Dundas & Wilson in 1974.
Together with Douglas Connell, he led the de-merger in 1997 which led to the formation of Turcan Connell.
