Alex manages clients’ portfolios and contributes to the investment team’s research and strategy work. In addition he is responsible for the management and development of Turcan Connell’s fast-growing investment management business.
After graduating in Law from Edinburgh University in 1990, Alex qualified as a Solicitor with Murray Beith Murray, where he specialised in investment management and completed the Securities Institute Diploma, later becoming a Fellow of the Institute.Alex subsequently worked for a firm of stockbrokers before joining Turcan Connell as an Investment Manager in January 1999, taking on the role of Head of Investment Management in June 2004 and becoming a Partner in April 2005.
Alex manages investment portfolios for private clients, SIPP/SSAS structures, trusts and charities. He works closely with legal, tax and financial planning specialists throughout the Firm to deliver integrated services to clients.
