Tax Compliance

Ian is responsible for developing the firm’s Tax Compliance and Advisory Department offering a comprehensive compliance and tax planning service to private clients.

On completion of his training with the Inland Revenue in 1984, Ian worked as an Inspector of Taxes for six years in Oxford and London. In 1990 he joined the Edinburgh office of Coopers & Lybrand (PricewaterhouseCoopers), where for many years he managed the firm’s private client tax compliance function and advised high-profile clients on a wide range of taxation issues.

Ian specialises in income and capital taxes with particular emphasis on employment related tax issues.
