Turcan Connell responds to Law Society ABS proposals

Today the Law Society of Scotland published proposals for alternative business structures in Scottish law firms. 

Turcan Connell’s Joint Senior Partner Douglas Connell said: “We greatly welcome the publication of the Law Society of Scotland’s proposals for alternative business structures for law firms in Scotland.  They are to be congratulated on having the courage to move into the position of being a proponent of change rather than an obstacle to change.  Turcan Connell is already a multi-disciplinary practice, our concept is that of multi-talented professionals providing services to private clients and charities.

"The policy paper from The Law Society of Scotland gives the green light to progressive law firms in Scotland.  I very much hope that the publication of this policy paper will be followed up quickly by the structural and legislative changes which are required to make this policy into a reality. In other words, let us get on with it.”
