Turcan Connell nominated for two STEP Awards

Turcan Connell has been shortlisted for two awards at the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Awards 2010. The STEP Awards highlight excellence among private client solicitors, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers and financial advisors.

For the second successive year Turcan Connell’s flagship wealth management service, Turcan Connell Family Office, has been nominated for Multi-Family Office of the Year. Turcan Connell Family Office’s nomination recognises a service “delivered by a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, tax planners, investment managers and financial planners working together out of offices in Edinburgh, London and Guernsey” and “built around the principle of ‘trusted counsel’”.

Head of Financial Planning, Bob Hair, said: “Turcan Connell Family Office has gone from strength to strength over the years, managing everything that matters to meet the complex needs of the modern family. The service draws from the breadth and depth of the talent in the firm and proactively employs our unique multi-disciplinary approach, therefore everyone involved is delighted to once again be nominated for the STEP awards. Ultimately, our judges are the families whom we counsel, however, it is encouraging to note that we are held in such high regard by our peers."

Our Charities Team has also been nominated for Charity Team of the Year (UK & Ireland). This nomination recognises Turcan Connell’s “dedicated charities legal team [which] works exclusively in technical areas of charity law advising clients at the highest level”, and which “includes three solicitors accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as specialists in charity law”.

The STEP Awards will be judged by a panel of 16 judges supported by a panel of experts which include over 100 industry professionals worldwide.
