New guide for charity trustees launched

We have recently launched the latest edition of our guide to the duties of charity trustees, which can be accessed by clicking here. This invaluable booklet, now in its second edition, is designed to provide charity trustees with an overview of the key legal responsibilities which they face and highlights critical areas where trustees should take action to ensure that they comply with charity law.

“Duties of Trustees” also comments in detail on accounting regulations for Scottish charities and sets out the rules on the remuneration of charity trustees. An expanded section on the subject of liability and risk gives an update on the current law in relation to trustee indemnity insurance and highlights the importance of risk reviews for charities and charity trustees.
